Missouri River Fishing Guide
As your Missouri River fishing guide, we strive to ensure you have a great time on the water. Our guiding season will typically kick off on the Missouri River and it can start to heat up early in the spring. Water clarity has a large effect on the walleye bite, so we watch that carefully. We fish all stretches of the Missouri River in North Dakota, from the Garrison Tailrace (just south of Lake Sakakawea) to Lake Oahe south of Bismarck. Different stretches normally heat up at different times, and often it can be good all over. The style of fishing on the river can be very enjoyable. We tend to pitch jigs as well as jig vertically and often as shallow as 1 foot of water. At times we will troll crankbaits but jigs rule the roost and are our most often used technique. Fishing can be fast, as small “holes” can hold many fish. The vast majority of fish taken are walleyes and at times, sauger.
We are honest and will be upfront with you about current Missouri River fishing reports and what you can expect. Your safety fishing the Missouri River is important, and your memories are what matters. Our Missouri River fishing guide will work hard to provide the best experience possible.
